Knofel Orville Herrin

December 29, 1957 — August 10, 2021

Statesboro – Knofel Orville Herrin, 63, of Statesboro passed away Tuesday morning (August 10, 2021) at his residence after an extended illness.
Born in Jacksonville, FL his parents were Harold Oaks Herrin and Helen Johns Guinn. He is also preceded in death by his son, Joshua Herrin; 4 brothers, Keith Gebheart, James Earl Herrin, Gregory Harold Herrin, and Robert Daniel Herrin; and a sister, Gracie Richards.
Knofel was a paint and body technician and of the Baptist faith. He loved hot rods and antiques.
Survivors include his wife, Judy Herrin of Statesboro; a grandchild, Brynley Amanda Herrin Kelley of Oglethorpe, GA; 4 brothers and sisters-in-law, Patrick Herrin of Statesboro, James Long (Kim) of Sanderson, FL, Alan Herrin (Sharon) of Millen, GA and Benjamin Herrin of Lake Charles, LA; 2 sisters and brothers-in-law, Trish Crowther (George) of Folkston and Priscilla Herrin (David) of Jacksonville, FL; and also several nieces, nephews, other relatives and a host of friends.
Visitation will be held 30 minutes prior to the service on Saturday (August 14, 2021) from 10:30am – 11am at Bachlott Cemetery.
A graveside service will be held Saturday morning ( August 21, 2021) at 11am at Bachlott Cemetery with Bro. Terry Herrin officiating.
Due to COVID-19, we would like to ask all to please follow the rules for social distancing, also face mask are highly recommended at the service. Anyone who does not feel comfortable with attending the service the family would like you to know they understand and covet your prayers.
Arrangements are with Frye Funeral Home, Nahunta.
