Kenneth "Kenny" Wilton Popwell

Hortense- Kenneth “Kenny” Wilton Popwell, 76, of Hortense passed away Friday evening (March 18,
2022) at Southeast Georgia Health System in Brunswick after a brief illness.

Born in Brunswick, GA. his parents were Clinton and Inez Lee Strickland Popwell.

Kenny served in the United States Air Force and was a member of Little Memorial Baptist Church. He enjoyed taking care of his children and just spending time with his family and friends. Also was good at offering his opinion to all that would listen.

Survivors include his wife of 52 years, Priscilla Smart Popwell of Hortense, 1 son, Phillip Popwell of Atlanta, GA., 2 daughters, Candace Popwell and Kristie Weber both of Brunswick, GA., 3 grandchildren, Devin Washington, Elise Weber, and Reggie Nixon, 2 brothers and sisters-in-law, Jerry Popwell (Daphne) of Hortense, and Chris Popwell (Christina) of Gardi, GA., 2 sisters and a brother-in-law, Gloria Sears of Nahunta, and Donna Causey (Wayne) of Hortense. Also, several nieces, nephews, other relatives, and a great host of friends.

A Memorial Service with Military Honors will be held Thursday (March 24, 2022) at 2 PM from the Chapel of Frye Funeral Home with Bishop Raymond Willis officiating.
