Kenneth D. Baker, Sr.

Waynesville-Kenneth "Kenny" Dwayne Baker, Sr.50 of Waynesville, passed away Tuesday (July 30, 2013) at Southeast Georgia Health System, in Brunswick. Born in Jacksonville, FL., his parents are Ire Eugene Baker and Shirley Pettingale. He was preceded in death by his 2 brothers, Ronnie Cecil Horton and Curtis Alvin Baker. Kenny worked as an installer technician for Baker Heating and Air. He was of the Baptist Faith and enjoyed fishing, playing Xbox, basketball, and swimming. Survivors include his fiancé, Mary Paige Petro, of Waynesville; 3 children, Kenneth "Kenny" Baker, Jr. (fiancé, Brittany), of Brunswick, Curtis Baker, of Waynesville, and Shyanne Baker, of Brunswick; 1 grandson, Landen Criminger, of Brunswick; his father, Ire Eugene Baker, of Waynesville; his mother, Shirley Pettingale, of Brunswick; and his brother, Raymond Lee Horton, of Waynesville. Also several nieces, nephews, and other relatives. A Graveside Service will be held Thursday morning (August 1, 2013) at 10 AM at Mt. Olive Cemetery in Waynesville with Rev. Bobby Moore officiating.
