Katrina 'Tina' Marie Myers

Folkston – Katrina “Tina” Myers, 55, of Folkston passed away Tuesday afternoon (March 16, 2021) at St. Vincent’s Medical Center in Jacksonville, FL after an extended illness.

Born in Jacksonville, FL her parents were Wallace Lavon Crews, Sr. and Mattie Ruth Dixon Crews. She is also preceded in death by a sister, Vicki Crews.

Tina was a dispatcher for Charlton County 911 and a member of Winokur Baptist Church. She had worked for Nahunta First Baptist Church and the Sewing Factory in Nahunta before becoming a dispatcher. Tina loved spending time with her family especially her grandbabies and enjoyed sewing and crafting. She was also considered the honorary mother to her brothers and sisters and honorary grandmother to all her nieces and nephews.

Survivors include her husband, James Rudolph Myers of Folkston; her son, Terriray Denton (Fiancé Ashlee) of Athens, TN; 3 grandchildren, Keegan Dixon and Ella Dixon of Riverside and Kingston Denton of TN; 2 brothers and sisters-in-law, Wallace Crews, Jr. (Wendy) of Winokur and Marty Crews (Betsy) of Folkston; 3 sisters and brothers-in-law, Rhonda Harris (Don) of Winokur, Brenda Matteliano (Mark) and Stacy West (Brett) all of Folkston; and also several nieces, nephews, other relatives and a host of friends.

Due to the COVID-19, we would like to ask all to please follow the rules for social distancing and face mask, are highly recommended at the service. Also, anyone who does not feel comfortable with attending the services the family would like for you to know they understand and covet your prayers.

The family will be receiving friends Thursday afternoon (March 18, 2021) starting after 12pm at the residence of Rhonda Harris, 1230 Samuel Crews Rd Folkston, GA 31537.

A funeral service will be held Friday afternoon (March 19, 2021) at 1pm at Winokur Baptist Church with Rev. Don Harris officiating. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service starting at 12pm at the church.

Pallbearers will be Jacob Crews, Jude West, Mason Matteliano, Jerry Myers, George Elliott Myers, Jerome Myers, Joey Gray, and Seth Harris.

interment will be in the Winokur Cemetery.
