Julie Kathryn Smith

Nahunta - Julie Kathryn Davis Smith, 84, of Nahunta passed away Thursday afternoon (March 12, 2026) at Southeast Georgia Health System in Brunswick after an extended illness.

Born in Screven, GA her parents were James “Jim” Davis and Kathryn “Anderson” Davis. She is also preceded in death by her husband, Ronald Smith; 2 brothers, Donald Davis and Quinton Davis; and a sister, Reba Taylor.

Julie was a homemaker who enjoyed reading and listening to music.

Survivors include her 2 sons and a daughter-in-law, Richard Hagan and Scott Smith (Tina) all of Nahunta; a sister, Diane Brannon of Jesup; a sister-in-law, Betty Davis of Jesup; and also several cousins, other relatives and a host of friends.

Visitation will be held Monday evening (March 16, 2026) from 6pm – 8pm at Frye Funeral Home, Nahunta.

A graveside service will be held Tuesday morning (March 17, 2026) at 11am at Smyrna Cemetery.
