John Hugh "Hughie" Herrin

Folkston- John Hugh "Hughie" Herrin, 53 of Folkston, passed away Thursday (June 12, 2025) at his residence.

Born in Brunswick, GA., his mother was Glenda Annette Daniels Taylor.

Hughie attended the Palmetto Church of God and worked many years as a mechanic. He was a collector and loved working on radios and spending time with his family.

Survivors include his son, Johnny Herrin, of Waynesville; his mother, Glenda Daniels Taylor, of Folkston; four sisters and brothers-in-law, Angie Louaret (Zakaria), of Columbia, SC, Tammy Lee, of Atkinson, Jeannie Herrin Ammons (Robert) of Waynesville, GA, and Phyllis Herrin Waters (Jeffrey) of Brunswick, GA; three brothers, Allen Herrin of Waynesville, GA, Tommy Jordan, and Chris Jordan of Waycross; Nieces and Nephews, Conner Lee (Dan Rust), Maggie Prescott (Sam), Summer Solomon (Will), Normandie Broome (Jeff), Benjamin Lee (Kory), Mollie Lee, Colton Lee, Kyle Higginbotham, Seth Herrin, Adam Louaret and Amen Louaret; special friend, Melinda (Minnie) Houle and her son; only surviving uncle, Charles Wayne Daniels.

Visitation will be held Wednesday (June 25, 2025) from 6PM-8PM at Frye Funeral Home, Nahunta.
