Hickox – John Henry Causey, 69, of Hickox passed away Monday morning (April 13, 2020) at his residence after an extended illness.
Born in Jesup, GA his parents were Burnice Causey and Pansy Holman Causey. He is also preceded in death by 2 brothers, Buck Causey and Sam Causey; and 3 sisters, Billie Sue Brauda, Burnice Causey, and Patricia Morrell.
John was a manager for Osan Petroleum and of the Christian faith. He loved going to car shows, drag racing, hunting and fishing.
Survivors include his wife of 50 years, Donna Bohannon Causey of Hickox; 2 sons and a daughter-in-law, John Colin & Tanya Causey and Carroll Robert Causey all of Hickox; a granddaughter and her husband,, Leah & Garrett Carroll; 3 great grandchildren, Chloe Carroll, Savannah Carroll and Amnie Carroll; 2 brothers and a sister-in-law, Steve Causey of Hickox and Bob & Denise Causey of Brunswick; a sister, Mary Walker of Nahunta; and also several nieces, nephews, other relatives and a host of friends.
Due to COVID-19, the family will be having a private graveside service Thursday (April 16, 2020) at New Hope Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Stacy Walker, Garrett Carroll, Buddy Howe, and Randall Cribbs.
Arrangements are with Frye Funeral Home, Nahunta.
