Joe Leroy Johnson

Brunswick – Joe Leroy Johnson, 63, of Brunswick passed away Sunday morning (December 14, 2025).

Born in Jacksonville, FL his parents were Melvin Leroy Johnson and Valenia Strickland Johnson. He is also preceded in death by 2 sister, Janet Johnson and Diana Freeman.

Joe was a heavy equipment operator who enjoyed hunting and fishing. He loved his pet goats and dogs.

Survivors include 2 brothers, Jacob Johnson of Brunswick and Jason Johnson of Darien; a sister and brother-in-law, Brenda Lewis (Doug) of Brunswick; and also several nieces, nephews, other relatives and a host of friends.

A private memorial service will be held at a later date.
