Joe Drury

February 20, 1950 — August 16, 2021

Waycross- Joe Stanley Drury, 71 of Waycross, passed away Monday (August 16, 2021) at his residence.
Born in Brunswick, GA., his parents were the late George Spencer Drury and Mary Vivian Harrell Drury.
Joe worked many years as a pipefitter for CSX Railroad and also served in the United States National Guard. He enjoyed gardening, fishing, traveling, baseball, boxing, and he loved music.
Survivors include four sons and a daughter-in-law, Joe Stanley Drury, II, of Brunswick, Donald Drury, Ronald Drury, both of Waynesville, and Chris Drury (Jessica), of Blackshear; one daughter and son-in-law, Crystal Thomas (Will), of Patterson; 13 grandchildren; several great grandchildren; his lifetime partner of 21 years, Lynn Williams, of Waycross; his sister, Janice Hannah, of Waynesville; and a special nephew, Hunter Strickland, of Waycross. Also several other relatives and a host of friends.
A Graveside Service will be held Friday (August 20, 2021) at 3PM at Mt. Olive Cemetery with Rev. Dickie Waters and Rev. Jerry Bland officiating. Visitation will be held thirty minutes prior to the service, from 2:30PM-3PM, at the cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Todd Ammons, Robert Nunn, Donald Drury, Hunter Strickland, and Jimbo Jones.
Due to COVID-19, we would like to ask all to please follow the rules for social distancing, also face mask are highly recommended at the service. Anyone who does not feel comfortable with attending the service the family would like you to know they understand and covet your prayers.
