Jesse 'J.D' Douglas Turner

J.D. Turner of the Riverside community passed away early Wednesday morning (February 20, 2019) at Hospice of the Golden Isles in Brunswick after a two year battle with cancer.

He is preceded in death by his son, Jed Turner.

Survivors include his wife, Gail Wainright Turner of Nahunta; his son and daughter-in-law, Jess and Holly Turner and precious granddaughter, Ansley Grace Turner of Nahunta; a daughter and son-in-law, Geri Elise Turner and Jack Kelley of Marietta.

Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service Friday afternoon (February 22, 2019) from 2pm-3pm at Frye Funeral Home in Nahunta.

A funeral service will be held Friday afternoon (February 22, 2019) at 3PM at the Chapel of Frye Funeral Home. Burial will follow in the family cemetery, Strain Hill Cemetery, 388 Thrift Loop Nahunta, GA 31553.

Pallbearers will be Ryan Crews, Craig Crews, Tony Wainright, Ross Williams, Lamar Albritton, and Russ Nielson. Honorary pallbearers will be Bobby Crews, Jerry Herrin, Frankie Wainright, and Fred Albritton.

Pallbearers are asked to be at the funeral home Friday by 2:30pm

Arrangements are with Frye Funeral Home, Nahunta.
