Woodbine – Jerry Melba Davis Carter, 78, of Woodbine passed away Thursday, August 18 at her residence after an extended illness. She loved fishing, cooking, playing cards and camping. She loved spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren and her animals.
She was preceded in death by her parents Lester Davis and Dorothy Williams Davis and her husband George Eugene Carter, her two brothers Jimmy Davis and Wayne Davis, a sister and brother-in-law Jackie Conroy and Bill Conroy, and sister Joyce Borders.
Survivors include her daughter Melba M. Parrott of Waynesville, three grandchildren John Blair, Jr. wife Peggie, Amanda Blair husband Benjie and Danny Parrott, Jr., ten great grandchildren John Blair, III, Christopher Taylor, Britt Blair, Jeremy Taylor, Dillon Johns, Branden Johns, Austen Johns, Trenton Johns, Audrie Miller, and August Parrott. She is also survived by several great great grandchildren and other relatives and a host of friends.
A graveside service will be held Monday, August 22 at 11:00 am at Colesburg Cemetery in Woodbine officiated by Mrs. Jessica Armstrong.

Pallbearers are John Blair, Jr., Benjie Johns, Danny Parrott, Christopher Taylor, Jeremy Taylor, and Dillon Johns.
