Jerry David Pittman

Hoboken – Jerry David Pittman, 70, of Hoboken passed away Saturday morning (September 26, 2020) at his residence after a brief illness.

Born in Hoboken, GA his parents were Joe Bradley Pittman and Emmie Altman Pittman.

Jerry was a retired machinist for CSX Railroad and served in the United States Army during the Vietnam War. He was a member of New Life Assembly of God and loved spending time with his family, sitting on his porch and fishing. Jerry was a cut up who enjoyed picking on everyone he met.

Survivors include his wife, Janice Pittman of Hoboken; a son and daughter-in-law, David & Addie Pittman of Waycross; a daughter, Denise Pittman of Hoboken; 3 grandchildren, Amber Massey, Evan Pittman and Krista Pittman; 2 brothers and sisters-in-law, Joe Riley “J.R.” & Margaret Pittman and Robert & Betty Pittman all of Hoboken; 2 sisters and a brother-in-law, Anna Sue Roberts of Blackshear and Rena Faye & Billy Ray Martin of Hoboken; a brother-in-law, Dorian & Sue Shafer of Austin, AK; 2 sisters-in-law, Delores Dixon and Joyce Hendrix both of Waycross; and also several nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Due to the COVID-19 Pandemic, the family asked that you follow the rules for social distancing. Also, if anyone who does not feel comfortable with attending the services, the family understands and ask you to be in prayer for our loved ones.

Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service on Tuesday (September 29, 2020) starting at 10am at New Life Assembly of God in Blackshear

A funeral service will be held Tuesday morning (September 29, 2020) at 11am at New Life Assembly of God with Rev. Andy Peacock and Rev. Charles Florey officiating. Burial will follow in Hoboken Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be Kevin Thomas, Wayne Altman, Brad Jones, Rodney Pittman, Luke Pittman, Lester Roberts, Leonard Roberts and Paul Herrin.

Arrangements are with Frye Funeral Home, Nahunta.
