Jeffery Lloyd Wainright

Nahunta – Jeffery Lloyd Wainright, 41, of Nahunta, passed away Thursday (October 14, 2021) at his residence following an extended illness.
Born in Waycross, GA. His parents were the late Cordell Wainright and Darlene Crews Wainright. He was also preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Lloyd & Louise Wainright.
Jeffery was a member of the Riverside Chapel Baptist Church and worked as a Prison Guard for D. Ray James. He was a very talented artist and guitar player, a comedian, an entertainer and never met a stranger.
Survivors include 2 daughters, Alexis Hope Wainright of Dayton, OH and Haley Paige Wainright of Waycross, GA.; 1 grandchild, Ellie Brooke Jones of Waycross, GA.; his mother, Darlene Crews Wainright of Nahunta, GA.; maternal grandmother, Jean E. Crews of Hoboken, GA. Also several aunts, uncles, cousins, and a host of friends.
Visitation will be held Sunday evening (October 17, 2021) from 6PM-8PM at Riverside Chapel Baptist Church.
Funeral services will be held Monday (October 18, 2021) at 11AM at Riverside Chapel Baptist Church with Rev. Randy Wainright officiating.
Burial will follow in Riverside Chapel Baptist Church Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Len Davis, Drew Harris, Christopher Harris, Colby Strickland, Devin Harris, and John Simpson.
Due to COVID-19, we would like to ask all to please follow the rules for social distancing, also face mask are highly recommended at the service. Anyone who does not feel comfortable with attending the service the family would like you to know they understand and covet your prayers.
