Jeffery Leonard Bishop

Waynesville – Jefferson Leonard Bishop, Sr., 70 of Waynesville, passed away Tuesday (April 4, 2017) at his residence.

Born in Montgomery Co., Virginia, his parents were Marion J. Bishop and Christine Mabery Bishop.

Mr. Bishop was a retired marine and was of the Nazarene faith and loved the outdoors.

Survivors include his wife, Hazel Mae Crews Bishop, of Waynesville; 3 children, Jay Bishop, Tammy Bishop, and Christy Bishop; 1 grandchild, Jefferson Bishop, III; 1 brother, Randy Bishop (Trista) of Va.; Aunt Gertrude Bishop, of Va. And a niece, Kyleigh Bishop, of Va. Also several nieces, nephews, and other relatives.

A memorial service will be held at a later date.
