Nahunta – Jasper “Junior” Oliver Lewis, Jr., 86, of Nahunta, passed away Sunday morning (January 17, 2021) at Folkston Park Nursing Home, Folkston, GA., after an extended illness.
Junior was born in Nahunta, GA. His parents were Jasper Lewis, Sr. and Verma Todd Lewis. He is also preceded in death by his wife Betty V. Davis Lewis; a sister Naomi Carter; and 3 brothers James Lewis, Isaiah Lewis, and Clyde Lewis.
He was a member of Hickox Baptist Church and loved farming, fishing, working, and doing woodwork.
Survivors include 2 sons and a daughter-in-law, Jimmy Lewis of Nahunta and Steve Lewis (Tina) of Madison, TN; 2 daughters and sons-in-law, Kathy Chesser (Roger) of Nahunta, and Cindy Chorba (Mitchell) of Waynesville; 10 grandchildren, Ashton Chesser, Latisha Wainright, James Lewis, Crystal Lewis, Trenton Chorba, Trevor Chorba, Tyler White, Meghan Travis, Hannah Lewis, and Wesley Lewis; 10 great grandchildren; a special friend Paul Morgan, also, several nieces, nephews and other relatives.

A graveside service will be held Wednesday afternoon (January 20, 2021) at 2 PM at the Oak Grove Cemetery, Nahunta, GA., with Rev. Wayne White and Rev. Hilton Morgan officiating.
Pallbearers will be his grandchildren.
Due to the COVID-19, we would like to ask all to please follow the rules for social distancing and face mask are highly recommended at the service. Also, anyone who does not feel comfortable with attending the services the family would like for you to know they understand and covet your prayers.
