Waynesville – James David Herrin, 66, of Waynesville passed away Monday (December 23, 2024) at St. Joseph’s Candler in Savannah.
Born in Washington D.C. his parents are Nellie Jo Lee Herrin and the late James Alfred Herrin.
David was a paramedic and a member of Ebenezer Baptist Church in Rincon, GA. He loved spending time with his family, hunting, fishing and trading and swapping guns.
Survivors include his wife of 42 years, Patricia Herrin of Waynesville, GA; 2 sons and daughters-in-law, James Anthony Herrin (Kinsey) of Atlanta and Adam Lee Herrin (Ashley) of Waynesboro; 3 grandchildren, Flint James Herrin, Birdie James Herrin and Nellie Belle Herrin; his mother, Nellie Jo Herrin of Hortense; a brother and sister-in-law, Daniel Herrin (Cindy) of Hortense; a sister and brother-in-law, Kathy Herrin Lee (Eddie) of Waverly; and also several nieces, nephews, other relatives and a host of friends.
Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service Friday (January 3, 2025) starting at 10am at Frye Funeral Home, Nahunta.
A memorial service will be held Friday (January 3, 2025) at 11am at the chapel of Frye Funeral Home with Pastor Mark Linton officiating. Burial will follow in Raulerson Cemetery.
