James Edward Purdom

James Edward Purdom, 57, of Nahunta died Thursday morning (July 15, 2010) at his residence after an extended illness. Born in Jesup, GA his parents are Ina Mae Jacobs Hartwig and the late Moultrie Purdom. He was a parts salesman for NAPA and enjoyed gardening. Survivors include his son, Chris Purdom of Nahunta; 2 sisters and brothers-in-law, Cheryl & Keith Lightfoot of Statesboro, GA and Betty Jo & Jeff Morgan of Nahunta; 3 brothers and sisters-in-law, Michael & Janice Purdom of Highsprings, FL, Phillip & Marilyn Purdom of Nahunta, GA and William A. "Doc" Purdom of Covington, GA; his mother and step-father, Ina Mae & Wayne Hartwig of Nahunta; and also several nieces, nephews and other relatives. Memorialization will be by cremation.
