Howard "Allen" Luwisch

Howard “Allen” Luwisch, 67 of Nahunta, passed away Sunday (October 4, 2026) at his residence.

Born in Couvron, France, his parents were Henry Luwisch and Margaret Strickland Wells. He is also preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Leo & Leora Strickland.

Allen had worked previously for Lloyd & Sons as a truck driver. He loved hunting, fishing, working on cars, but most of all he loved spending time with his family.

Survivors include his wife, Maria Hortencio Soluno Lopez Luwisch of Nahunta; one sister, Germaine Haga and her son, Adrian Luwisch both of Jacksonville, FL; two half-brothers, Kurt Luwisch and Henry Luwisch both of LA;.; also several other relatives and a host of friends.

Visitation will be held Saturday (October 10, 2026) from 10:30-11:00AM at Frye Funeral Home.

Funeral Services will be held Saturday (October 10, 2026) at 11AM at Frye Funeral Home with Thomas Johns officiating.

Burial will follow in Smyrna Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be Allen McGill, Derrick Strickland, Edwin Barnes, Dustin Johns, William Vinson, Richard Johns and Harvey Strickland.

Arrangements are with Frye Funeral Home, Nahunta.
