Grover Dwayne Herrin

Waycross – Grover Dwayne Herrin, 66, of Waycross passed away Tuesday (October 24, 2023) at his residence after a brief illness.

Born in Homerville, GA his parents were Osceola Perry Herrin and Rose Sloan Pittman. He is also preceded in death by 3 brothers, Perry Herrin, Roger Herrin and Stanley Herrin; and a sister, Patricia Herrin.

Dwayne was a welder and enjoyed fishing.

Survivors include his 2 sons and a daughter-in-law, Demory Herrin (Jennifer) of Hoboken and Dewayne Strickland of Savannah; a daughter and son-in-law, Chassidy Altman (Benny) of Waycross; 7 grandchildren, Savana Smith, Macy Strickland, Jake Smith, Sienna Strickland, Dierks Altman, Alissa Herrin and Whitney Moore; 3 great grandchildren, Atticus Pitt, Kolton Moore and Gavin Moore; a brother and sister-in-law, Jerry Herrin (Linda) of Winokur;  sisters, Juanita Crews of Raybon, Emma Cox and Annie Tatum both of Waycross; 2 sisters-in-law Lucille Herrin and Laurel Herrin both of Nahunta; and also several nieces, nephews, other relatives and a host of friends.

A celebration of life will be held on Saturday (November 11, 2023). Those wishing to attend, please contact the family for further details.
