Gregory Grant Steele

July 20, 1954 — February 5, 2021

Hortense – Gregory Grant Steele, 66, of Hortense passed away Friday evening (February 5, 2021) at St. Vincents Hospital Jacksonville, FL after a brief illness.

H was born in Fort Smith, Arkansas and his parents were the late Harold W. Steele and Frances M. Schliffe Steele.

Gregory was of the Pentecostal faith and a member of United Pentecostal Church in Brunswick where he was very dedicated and appreciated. He loved his family, church, plants, and fitness.

Survivors include his three daughters and sons-in-law; Nickie Allen (Chris) of Hickox, Kristi Stephens (Chris) of Texas, and Kibrie Saunds (Joey) of Nahunta, 11 grandchildren; Christian, Ryan, and Thomas Albright, Ayden, Lucy, Abigail and Colin Luke Stephens, Camron, Brookelyn, Avery and Lauren Saunds, three sisters; Debbie Llittle (Gerald) of Arkansas, Amy Evans of Arkansas, and Becky Sergeant of Texas, also, several nieces, nephews, and other relatives.

A memorial service will be held Saturday morning (February 13, 2021) at 10 AM at the Southside Baptist Church in Nahunta with Brother Ryan Albright and a member of United Pentecostal Church of Brunswick officiating.

Due to the COVID-19, we would like to ask all to please follow the rules for social distancing and face mask are highly recommended at the service. Also, anyone who does not feel comfortable with attending the services the family would like for you to know they understand and covet your prayers.

Arrangements are with Frye Funeral Home, Nahunta.
