Gloria Jean Blount

Gloria Jean Williams Blount, 68 of Hortense, passed away Monday (January 13, 2020) at Southeast Georgia Health System in Brunswick following an extended illness.

Born in North Carolina. Her parents are the late Franklin Lamar Williams and Dorothy Amanda Horn Tabor. She was also preceded in death by her sister, Martha Tabor Allen.

Mrs. Gloria was a homemaker and a member of First Wesleyan Church in Brunswick. She loved the Lord and her children and grandchildren.

Survivors include her husband of 53 years, Ernest Wayne Blount, Sr., of Hortense; three children and their spouses, Ernest Wayne Blount, Jr., Robert Earl Blount, Sr. (Bonnie), and Amanda Jean Blount Crews (Sean); 11 grandchildren; 26 great grandchildren; two sisters, Virginia Schuster and Peggy Tabor; two brothers, Marvin Williams and James Tabor. Also several nieces, nephews, other relatives, and a host of friends.

Funeral Services will be held Tuesday (January 21, 2020) at 2PM at Frye Funeral Home with Sis. Beverly Cooler officiating. Visitation will be held an hour prior to the service.

Burial will follow in Lane Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be Ryan Blount, Joshua Tanner, Robert Blount, Jr., Sean Britt, Ernest Blount, Jr., and Ernest Blount, III.

Arrangements are with Frye Funeral Home, Nahunta.
