Franklin "Eugene" Rooks

Hortense-Franklin "Eugene" Rooks, 40, passed away on Friday, August 21, 2026, at Southeast Georgia Health Systems in Brunswick after a brief illness.

Born in Brunswick, Ga to the late Allen Rooks, Sr. and Patricia Cribbs Rooks. He is also preceded in death by two uncles Warren Cribbs and Michael Cribbs.

Eugene was a very hardworking man and was always ready to lend a helping hand if it was needed. He loved to fish, always had something to say and was just the best person. Eugene will be deeply missed and always loved by all those who were fortunate enough to have known him.

Survivors include his children George Allen Faircloth, Coraline Ann Wallen, Dominic Sean Wallen, Jase Colt Wallen and Calvin Walter Wallen; his brothers Allen Julian Rooks, ted Dennis Rooks and Rodney Edward Rooks; his nieces Hannah Michelle Rooks, Madison Anglic Rooks, Milee Rooks and Sophia Rooks; his nephews Allen Wayne Rooks, Camron Leigh Rooks, Terrance Connor Rooks and Joshua Rooks; his fiancé Michelle Lee Hummel; numerous other relatives and a host of friends.

Visitation will be held Friday, August 28, 2026, at 10:00 am at Frye Funeral Home.

A funeral service will be held at 11:00 am at the funeral home officiated by Pastor William Grimes.

Pallbearers include Frank Cribbs, Terrance Rooks, Camron Rooks, Ted Rooks, Justin Hilliard and Allen Wayne Rooks.

Arrangements are with Frye Funeral Home, Nahunta.
