Franklin Jay Staats, 68, of Hortense, GA, died Sunday (June 14, 2009) at Hospice of the Golden Isles, Brunswick. Born in Charleston, WV, his parents were Harry Jay and Ruby Marie Booth Staats. He was a carpenter and of the Methodist faith. Memorialization was by cremation. A memorial service will be held Saturday (June 20, 2009) at his residence at 66 Back Haven Rd. Hortense, GA at 12:00 p.m. with Rev. Joey Taylor officiating. Sympathy may be expressed by signing the online registry at www.fryefh.com
