Fran Strickland

Jesup- Fran Logue Strickland, 78 of Jesup, passed away Tuesday (January 25, 2022) at Altamaha Healthcare Center in Jesup following an extended illness.
Born in Mt. Vernon, GA., her parents were Alton Logue and Louise Nix Logue. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Gerald Rodney Strickland; and three brothers, Hilton Logue, Robert Logue, and Enie Logue.
Fran retired after many years of working in Jewelry Sales at Walmart. She was a member of Waverly Methodist Church and enjoyed crafts, ceramics, crocheting, and spending time with her family. She graduated from Glynn Academy in 1961 and then attended Brunswick College where she was a member of Alpha Psi Chapter of Beta Sigma Phi.
Survivors include two sons and daughters-in-law, Gerald Rodney Strickland (Marietta), of Waverly, David Allen Strickland (Bobbie Blount), of Hickory Bluff; her daughter and son-in-law, Cynthia Louise Strickland Arnett (Chuck), of Jesup; 7 grandchildren, Amanda Laura Strickland, Jeremy Gerald Strickland, Courtney Strickland Stover, Chase Steven Strickland, Hunter Lee Strickland, Ciera Beasley, and Taylor Arnett; one great grandchild, Alahna McCutchen; two sisters, Mabel Drawdy, of Kingsland and Evelyn Kinlaw, of Forsyth. Also several nieces, nephews, other relatives and a host of friends.
Funeral services will be held Saturday (January 29, 2022) at 11AM at the Chapel of Frye Funeral Home with Pastor Guyvie Beasley officiating. Visitation will be held an hour prior to the service, at the Funeral Home.
Burial will follow in Homeward Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Chase Strickland, Hunter Strickland, Jeremy Strickland, Josh Anderson, Reggie Drawdy, and Lee Greene.
Honorary Pallbearers will be the Nurses and Staff of GHC Hospice and Altamaha Healthcare Center.
