Fern Elvina Mcintosh Howard

Hortense- Mrs. Fern Elvina McIntosh Howard, 82, of Hortense died Sunday night (February 20, 2011) at Southeast Georgia Health System in Brunswick after an extended illness. Born in Dearing, Kansas, she is preceded in death by her parents and her husband, James Millard Howard. Fern was a retired sales clerk for Walmart and attended the Nazarene Church in Kansas. She also loved reading, gardening and working in her yard. Survivors include 2 sons and a daughter-in-law, Albert Lee Howard of Hortense and Daryl "Pete" Benjamin & Carolyn Howard of Darien; 3 grandchildren, Ivey Howard, Mark Howard and Steven Howard; a sister, Delpha Ingram; and also several other relatives. A memorial service will be held Wednesday evening (February 23, 2011) at 6:30PM at Brunswick Advent Christian Church. Memorialization will be by cremation.
