Evelyn Thomas Crosby

Hortense – Evelyn Thomas Crosby, 66, of Hortense passed away Friday (March 30, 2018) at St. Joseph Candler in Savannah after an extended illness.

Born in Ft. Meade, Fl her parents were Harry Thomas and Lillie Mae Crosby Thomas. She is also preceded in death by 3 brothers, Eddie “ Bubby” Lamar Thomas, David Earl Thomas, and Robert “Bo” Elmore Thomas; a sister, Ollie Mae Thomas; and a brother-in-law, Tommy McGee.

Evelyn was a homemaker and of the Church of God faith. She loved flowers and working in her flower beds.

Survivors include her husband, Raymond “Bug” Earnest Crosby of Hortense; her 3 children and their spouses, James Earnest Crosby (Cathy), Troy William Crosby (Amy) and his ex wife, Cindy, and Teresa Lynn Crosby; 5 grandchildren and their spouses, Troy Crosby, Jr. (Nickie), Dustin Crosby (Destiny), Ashli Crosby, Destiny Lowman, and Kaitelyn Crosby; 5 great grandchildren, Rylie Crosby, Reed Crosby, Khaiden Lowman, Ava Grace Crosby, and Kylan Crosby; 7 Sisters and their spouses, Christiane Moody (Jr.), Virginia Hall (Ronnie), Linda Harris (Joey), Nancy McGee (Ron), Brenda Lowman (Robert), Rita Ann Daniels (Richard), and Lillie Marie Brandon (George); and also several nieces, nephews, and other relatives.

Visitation will be held thirty mins prior to the service on Monday afternoon (April 2, 2018) from 3pm – 3:30pm at H & T Cemetery in Jesup.

A graveside service will be held Monday afternoon (April 2, 2018) at 3:30pm at H & T Cemetery with Rev. Tommy Gill officiating.

Arrangements are with Frye Funeral Home, Nahunta.
