Kingsland – Emily Jean Rozier Herrin, 79, of Kingsland passed away Thursday morning (December 21, 2017) at her residence after an extended illness.

Born in Hickox, GA her parents were Hubert W. Rozier and Tedia Bell Howe Rozier. She is also preceded in death by several sisters.

Emily was a member of Riverside Chapel Baptist Church and was the manager of Cumberland Village for 18 years. In her early years she helped her parents with their motel and restaurant. She also worked at Crooked River State Park and was a Camden County School Bus Driver for 6 years. Emily loved fishing and gardening.

Survivors include her husband, E.B. Herrin of Kingsland; 4 children, Thomas Herrin (Regay) of Gainesville, FL, Aundrea Diaz of Woodbine, Greg Herrin of Orlando, FL, and Christopher Wentworth of Kingsland; 8 grandchildren, Shannon Herrin, Megan Clifton, Lena Akes, Savannah Hill, Justin Johnson, Amanda Crosby, Crystal Wentworth, and Emily Diaz; many great grandchildren; and also several nieces, nephews, and other relatives.

Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service Saturday afternoon (December 23, 2017) starting at 1PM at Riverside Chapel Baptist Church.

A funeral service will be held Saturday afternoon (December 23, 2017) at 2PM at Riverside Chapel Baptist Church with Rev. Randy Wainright and Rev. Paul Roberson officiating. Burial will follow in Smyrna Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be Scott Henning, John Braswell, James Durden, Tye Crosby, James Galloway, and Skeeter. Honorary pallbearers will be Keith Brown, Kade Akes, Lucas Crosby, Garrett Herrin, and Cody Herrin.

Arrangements are with Frye Funeral Home, Nahunta.
