Elylondia "Lonnie" Clark

November 30, 1942 — August 25, 2021

Elylondia Rae Clark, 78 known to all her family and friends as “Lonnie”, parted the gates of heaven singing and rejoicing on August 25, 2021 at Southeast Georgia Health Systems after succumbing to Covid. Born in Waycross, GA on November 30, 1942 to the late James Milton Sapp, Sr. and Carrie Mae Sapp. She is preceded in death by her loving husband Harold Lewis Clark, a brother, James Milton Sapp, Jr. and a son, Gregory Paul Turner.
She was a dedicated school bus driver for the Brantley County Board of Education for 32 years. During this time she volunteered countless hours to drive many athletic teams safely to and from events. She is known for the caring, loving, and kind way she interacted with all children that rode her bus. She was a member of Waynesville Baptist Church where she sang in the choir. She also shared her beautiful voice at many weddings, funerals, and events. She was an avid reader, especially her Bible. She enjoyed spending time with her family and her grandchildren were her world.
Survivors include her 4 children and their spouses, Bobby Turner (Christine), of Nahunta, Linda Powell (George), of Metter, Darla Smith (John), of Waynesville, and Gina Gibson, also of Waynesville; 6 grandchildren, Erin Sikes (Brandon), Shannon Farlow (Alex), Sara Tillman (Marqus), Rance Powell, Autsy Powell, Erica Dixon (Aron); 10 great grandchildren, Layton Sikes, Peyson Sikes, Axton Farlow, Piper Farlow, Kayleigh Mae Gibson, Edward Tillman, Cason Dixon, Mason Dixon, Ethan Dixon, and Eric Dixon; brother and sister-in-law, Gene Sapp (Brenda), of Blackshear; very special niece, Courtney Parsons and her children, Noah, Leah, and Will. Also several nieces, nephews, other relatives and close family friends.
Visitation will be held Saturday (August 28, 2021) from 5PM-7PM at the Chapel of Frye Funeral Home.
In leiu of flowers donations can be made to Bayview Nursing Home; 12884 W Cleveland St. Nahunta, GA 31553.
Arrangements are with Frye Funeral Home, Nahunta.
