Edith "Edie" Louise Morgan

Waycross-Edith “Edie” L. Morgan, 76, of Waycross passed away on Sunday, June 7, 2026, at her residence after an extended illness.

Born November 7, 1949, in Bridgeport, Connecticut to the late Verton Harold and Gertrude E. Miller. Also preceded in death by her husband Andy R. Morgan, a sister Diane Estette and a son in law Patrick (Pat) Patnode.

Edie had a love of sewing, anything from dolls for her daughters to quilts and clothes. She loved being outdoors with her gardens. She put her passion for sewing into her work, where she went to work at National Cap from 2004 to 2023 when she retired. Before moving to Georgia in 1991 she lived in Connecticut where she worked at Berkshire Transformer and Club Getaway in Kent and made many wonderful friends. Edie will be greatly missed by all those who knew and loved her.

Mrs. Morgan is survived by two daughters Maureen “Renee” Pellicciotti (John) of Dover Plains, NY and Cora Altman (Ashley) of Waycross, GA; two brothers Raymond Miller (Joyce) and Harold “Hougie” Miller (Barbara); two sisters Viola “Jane” Cartier and Denise “Joy” Davis (Gene); ten grandchildren Jasmine Kain, Zachary Patnode (Amanda Finley), Joshua Patnode, Kirsten Middleton (Chase), Kyla Thornton, Emma Thornton, Ashley (AJ) Altman, Connor and Hayleigh Pellicciotti and Lana Chancey (Ricky Howell); ten great grandchildren; numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and a host of friends.

The family will hold a celebration of life at a later date.
