Douglas Owen Herrin

Douglas Owen Herrin, 54 of Kingsland, passed away Tuesday (June 4, 2019) at Southeast Georgia Health System, in Camden County.

Born in Brunswick, GA., his parents were Owen K. Herrin, Jr. and Shirley Temple Warner Herrin.

Mr. Herrin retired after serving 20 years in the United States Navy, as an electrician. He attended Kingsland First Baptist Church, and enjoyed woodworking, hunting, and fishing. He loved the Bulldogs, the Braves, and spending time with his family.

Survivors include his wife of 32 years, LaQuita Sullivan Herrin, of Kingsland; his daughter, Jessica Herrin, of Statesboro; and his brother, John W. Herrin, of Woodbine. Also several nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and a host of friends.

A Funeral Service with military honors will be held Saturday (June 8, 2019) at 12PM at Frye Funeral Home with Rev. Randy Wainright officiating. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service, at the Funeral Home.

In lieu of flowers donations can be made to the Camden County Alzheimer’s Project; 1100 Dillworth St. St. Mary’s, GA. 31558.
