Dorothy Jill Hawkins

Waynesville – Dorothy “Jill” Hawkins was born on February 18, 1962, and passed from this life to the next on June 20, 2024. She was born in Griffin, GA. to Dr. John Ellis, Jr. and Dorothy “Dot” Ellis in Griffin, GA. and was their middle daughter. She spent about 20 years working for her Daddy at Ellis Chiropractic Clinic before moving to Brunswick, St. Simons Island area. She had just moved back to Waynesville , Ga. to be reunited with family before her death.

She is survived by her husband, David Hawkins; her sisters, Joni Bodie of Waynesville and Julie Ellis Conner of Pensacola along with her nephews, Jamey Ellis, his wife Allison and John Ellis, III. She also had 6 great nieces and nephews. Her wish was to be cremated and taken to the North Georgia Mountains she loved so much. As per her request there will be no services.
