Doris Jean Fain

Doris Jean (Lisi) Fain, 88 passed away peacefully in her sleep on June 30, 2026. Born in Struthers Ohio on August 13, 1937, Doris was the oldest of 6 siblings all of whom she helped raise. 

In 1981 she moved her family to Fernandina Beach, Florida where she worked in management at Kmart for over 20 years. After retiring from Kmart, she worked 10 years as a manager for Bealls Outlet in Saint Mary's Georgia, until she was 76 years old. A Jacksonville Jaguars fan since the beginning of their existence, her remaining years were spent watching her beloved football team play, watching Fox News, worshipping her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, and spending time with her children and grandchildren.

She is survived by her children Justine Wombolt (James) and Lawrence Fain (Donna), her grandchildren, Joshua, Zachery, Lorenzo, Lawrence Jr., and 1 great grandchild; 3 siblings and multiple nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her father Lawrence Lisi, her oldest son William (Billy) Gary Allen, her husband William (Bill) Henry Fain, her nephew William (Bill) Salensky, her mother Justine Rucci, and 2 sisters Fran Szenborn and Jean Detec.

Out of respect for her wishes, no formal services will be held.
