Donald worked in St. Marys, GA for Gilman Paper Company until the mill shut down. After which he went to work in Brunswick, GA at International Auto Processing (IAP) for several years before retiring.
Some of Donald’s hobbies included riding his motorcycle, and camping with his brother, Joe. He loved working with his flowers in his yard and taking pictures of them to share with his family. He would spend a lot of time on his back porch watching his birds on the feeders. He also started naming the birds as they landed on the feeders. Dancing was another thing he loved to do, as well as attending his family’s gatherings. He also loved going down to Joe’s & sitting on his porch talking & rocking with his special friend Dorothy Morton. (Mama)
Donald loved his Waynesville Missionary Baptist Church family, and couldn’t wait for Joe & Bonnie to pick him up to go. He wanted every day to be a Sunday. He said he just loved going and being greeted by everyone as the 3 of them came into the church.
