Dianna Lynn Bare Head

Waverly – Dianna Lynn Bare Head, of Waverly passed away Tuesday afternoon (November 3, 2026) at Baptist Health in Jacksonville after a brief illness.

Born in Brunswick, GA her parents are Wallace Eugene Bare, Sr. and the late Linda Juanita Skipper Bare.

Dianna was a member of Waynesville Missionary Baptist Church and devoted 15 years of service to City Market. She loved her City Market family and they held a special place in her heart and she spoke very highly of them.

Dianna loved her family and enjoyed her grandkids and great grandkids. She enjoyed going to the mountains, taking pictures of nature, flowers, going to antique stores, was an avid reader but most importantly she loved helping others.

Survivors include her husband, David Head of Waverly; her children, Dana Shuman (Daron Bailey) of Waynesville, Christen Holley of Waycross and Tre Holley (Stacey) of Atkinson; 9 grandchildren, Timothy Martino (McKenzie), Bailey Middleton (Tanner), Macy Sanchez (Austin), David Middleton, Hunter Knox, Jordain Young (Brandon), Judson Holley, Colby Shuman (Mikayla) and Lily Holley; 10 great grandchildren, Harper, Raelynn, Emerson, Karter, Baylor, Maislee, Elias, Dallynn, Everett and Bowen; her father, Wallace Eugene Bare, Sr. (Wanda) of Waynesville; 4 brothers and sisters-in-law, Bubba Bare (Rhonda), Kelley Bare (Kay) all of Waynesville, Michael Turner (Joy) of Nahunta and Tony Turner of Waynesville; a sister and brother-in-law, Phyllis Hodges (Jimmy) of Hortense; life long friends, Sylvia and Johnny Smith of Sterling; her workout partner, Margaret Thomas; and also several nieces, nephews, other relative and a host of friends.

Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service on Friday morning (November 6, 2026) from 10am-11am at Waynesville Missionary Baptist Church.

A funeral service will be held Friday morning (November 6, 2026) at 11am at Waynesville Missionary Baptist Church with Rev. Trey Keene officiating. A private family burial will take place at Heavenly Bound Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be Timothy Martino, Hunter Knox, David Middleton, Judson Holley, Walker Owens and Gavin Batten. Honorary pallbearers will be Sylvia and Johnny Smith.
