Diane Joyce Dennis Obendorfer

Nahunta – Diane Joyce Dennis Obendorfer, 53, of Nahunta passed away early Thursday (August 17, 2017) at her residence after a brief illness.

Born in Princeton, New Jersey her parents were James Richard Dennis, Sr. and Doris Isabelle Dennis. She is also preceded in death by a grandson, Anthony Lee Buckley; 2 brothers, James Richard Dennis, Jr. and Michael Dennis; a nephew, James Richard Dennis, III; and 2 sisters-in-law, Donna Dennis and Carol Dennis.

Diane was a nutritionist for Brantley County School system. She was a devoted wife and grandmother who loved listening to music and watching wrestling.

Survivors include her husband, Jeffery Obendorfer of Nahunta; 2 daughters and sons-in-law, her best friend, Jennifer Prescott (Matthew) of Nahunta and Nicole Buckley (Anthony) of New Jersey; 4 grandchildren, Breanna Prescott, TJ Prescott, and Miley Prescott all of Nahunta and Alyssa Buckley of New Jersey; 3 brothers, Steven Dennis, Thomas Dennis, and David Dennis all of New Jersey; 2 sisters, Linda Vaughn and Kate Dennis of New Jersey; a sister-in-law, Kathy Obendorker of GA; niece, Kali Snyder (John) of GA; nephew, Peter James Laffey of GA; great niece and nephew, Jase Snyder and Kandice Snyder of GA; and also several other nieces, nephews, and other relatives.

Visitation will be held Tuesday morning (August 22, 2017) from 10:30am – 11:30am at Frye Funeral Home.
