Dennis James Daniels

September 20, 1935 — October 17, 2020

Waynesville-Mr. Dennis “Dinky” James Daniels, 85, of Waynesville passed away Saturday (October 17, 2020) at Southeast Ga Health Systems in Brunswick, GA. Following an extended illness.

His parents were Jim Daniels and Julia Rozier Daniels McKenzie. He was also preceded in death by 3 brothers and sisters-in-law, Colton & Dot Daniels, Hob & Nadine Daniels, and Newben Daniels; 2 sisters & brother-in-law, Loree Kelly, Louise & Harold Keene; brother-in-law, Frank Head.

Mr. Daniels was retired from the Gilman Paper Co. in St. Marys. He worked as a crane operator. He was a member of the Palmetto Pentecostal Church. He loved gardening, working on his tractor, and spending time with the grandbabies.

He is survived by his wife, Doris Mildred O’Quinn Daniels of Waynesville; 1 son and daughter-in-law, Charles Daniels (Sharon) of Waynesville; 1 daughter and son-in-law, Charlene Spradley (Lonnie) of Waynesville; 5 grandchildren, Aleasha Murray (John), Aaron Daniels (Trish), Andrew Spradley, Owen Spradley, and Liam Spradley all of Waynesville; 4 great grandchildren, Madison Daniels, Hannah Daniels, Heather Murray, and Tyler Murray; 3 sisters and brothers-in-law, Faye Head of Waverly, Maye Cantrell (Bill) of Epworth, GA., Judy Aspinwall (Bernice) of Jesup; a sister-in-law, Betty Daniels of Waynesville. Also several nieces, nephews, and other relatives and a host of friends.

Due to the COVID-19, the family would like to ask all to please follow the rules for social distancing and face mask are recommended at the service. Also, anyone who does not feel comfortable with attending the services, the family would like for you to know they understand and covet your prayers.

A graveside service will be held Thursday (October 22, 2020) at 11AM Palmetto cemetery with Rev. Bill Johns and Rev. Ion Johns officiating. A visitation will be held 30 minutes prior to the service starting at 10:30 at the cemetery.

Arrangements are with Frye Funeral Home, Nahunta.
