Deeanna Maria Adkins

Hortense – Deeanna Maria Barton Adkins, 60, of Hortense passed away Tuesday morning (December 10, 2019) at her residence after a brief illness.

Born in Fort Pierce, FL her parents are Maria Beke Stanford of Brunswick and the late Rodney Barton. She is also preceded in death by her son, Brian Adkins.

Deeanna worked in the maintenance department at the International Auto Processing. She loved her grandchildren, her pets, and listening to bluegrass music.

Survivors include her daughter, Angela Adkins of Hortense; 3 grandchildren, Kyra Hall, Alivia Oliver, and Aiden McPherson; her mother, Maria Stanford of Brunswick; a brother and sister-in-law, Randy & Tammy Stanford of Brunswick; 2 sisters, Robin Harris of St. Simons Island and Michelle Stanford Kerr of California; and also several nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service Saturday afternoon (December 14, 2019) starting at 2pm at Frye Funeral Home.

A memorial service will be held Saturday afternoon (December 14, 2019) at 3PM at the chapel of Frye Funeral Home, Nahunta.
