Deborah Jean Mowrey Northup, 65, of Waynesville, GA passed away Saturday, August 29, 2026, at Wayne Memorial Hospital in Jesup, GA.
Born in Kent County, Rhode Island, her parents are Beverly Hammond Mowrey and the late James Mowrey. Along with her father she was preceded in death by her brother, Jonathan Mowrey.
She was a homemaker and a member of Palmetto Pentecostal Church. Mrs. Northup loved spending time with her grandchildren, cooking, and attending service at her church.
Survivors include her husband of 44 years, Henry Bassett Northup, III of Waynesville; her mother, Beverly Hammond Mowrey of Pawcatuck, CT; one son and daughter-in-law, Michael and Ashley Northup of Brunswick; three grandchildren, Owen Miller, Trystn Northup, and Ashtyn Northup; one brother and sister-in-law, James and Phyllis Mowrey of California; two sisters and brothers-in-law, Darlene and Jaime Smith of Haddock, GA, and Dianna and Scott Maine of Griswold, CT; several nieces, nephews, and other relatives.
A Celebration of Life service will be held Saturday, September 5, 2026, at 2 pm at Palmetto Pentecostal Church with Rev. Jason Marden officiating.
Arrangements are with Frye Funeral Home, Nahunta.
