Dana Lois Brand

Dana Lois Brand, 74, of Nahunta passed away Saturday (March 23, 2024) at Harborview Satilla in Waycross, GA.

Born in Jesup, GA her parents are Edward and Janie Herrin Brand of Nahunta. She is preceded in death by her infant baby brother and a niece April Lee Thomas.

Dana Graduated from Nahunta High School in the Class of 1967. She loved attending her class reunions and enjoyed listening to gospel and country music. Being with her family and friends was so important to her. She worked as a teacher’s aid, many years ago for Brantley County.

Survivors include her parents, Edward & Janie Brand; 2 sisters and 2 brothers, Dalton Brand (Tami), Deidra Thomas (Larry), Douglas Brand (Jill) and Delaine Bennett (Brian); her aunt, Marylee Faranda of Ocala, FL; and also many nieces, nephews, numerous cousins, and a host of friends.

Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service Monday morning (March 25, 2024) starting at 10am at Frye Funeral Home, Nahunta.

A funeral service will be held Monday morning (March 25, 2024) at 11am with Bro. Wayne White, Bro. Larry Johns, Bro. Bicknell Manor and Rev. Randy Wainright officiating. Burial will follow in Bethlehem Cemetery in Hickox, GA.

Pallbearers will be Robby Thomas, Dexter Brand, Bryce Brand, Dawson Brand, Dixon Brand and J.R. Herrin.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Bethlehem Cemetery fund, 6230 Bachlott Church Rd., Nahunta, GA 31553.
