Dale Lawrence Middleton

Hortense- Dale Lawrence Middleton, 68 of Hortense, passed away suddenly Sunday (March 31, 2019) at his residence.

Born in Brunswick, GA., his parents were Harry L. Middleton and Doris Strickland Middleton. He was also preceded in death by his son, Lawrence “Steven” Middleton; and two brothers, Randy Middleton and Lamar Middleton.

Dale was a retired Boilermaker and a member of Hopewell Baptist Church of Mt. Pleasant. He served in the United States National Guard and enjoyed fishing and hunting.

Survivors include two sons and daughters-in-law, Lance and Kristie Middleton, of Hortense, and Kevin and Amy Middleton, of Nahunta; 10 grandchildren, Peyton Meeks, Kirsten Harris, Kyle Ternest, Landon Middleton, Haydon Smith, Sydnie Middleton, Raegon Middleton, Kellon Middleton, Weston Middleton, and Brodee Middleton; two brothers, Dennis Middleton, and Lindsey Middleton, both of Hortense; four sisters and a brother-in-law, Nancy Hart, of St. Simons Island, Janice Middleton, of Brunswick, Jane and Greg McCranie, of Thalmann, and Deborah Johns, of Hortense. Also several nieces, nephews, other relatives, and a host of friends.

Funeral Services will be held Wednesday (April 3, 2019) at 11AM at Frye Funeral Home with Rev. M.L. Rick and Rev. Chuck Allen officiating. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service starting at 10 AM at the Funeral Home.

Burial will follow in Hortense Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be Brandon Johns, Peyton Meeks, Kyle Ternest, Landon Middleton, Haydon Smith, Kellon Middleton, and Weston Middleton.

Family and pallbearers are asked to meet at the Funeral Home by 10:30AM Wednesday.
