Cynthia Diane Herrin

Nahunta – Cynthia “Diane” Dowling Herrin, 71, of Nahunta passed away Saturday morning (December 16, 2023) after a brief illness.

Born in Jesup, GA her parents were Glynwood Dowling and Annis Mercedes Jacobs Dowling. She is also preceded in death by her husband, Leslie LaRue Herrin; a son, Clyde Miller; and a brother, Thomas Dowling.

Diane was a retired Brantley County Magistrate Judge and was a member of Twin Rivers Missionary Baptist Church. She loved spending time with her family, her dog and Joe. Diane enjoyed crafting, cooking, music and playing the piano.

Survivors include her son, Chris Miller of Twin Rivers community; 3 grandchildren, Darren Miller, Jordan Miller and Preston Miller; 2 great grandchildren, Paige and Aubrey; sister and brother-in-law, Pat Tompkins (Danny) of Hoboken; brother and sister-in-law, Robert Dowling (Linda) of Nahunta; a very special friend, Joe Drawdy of Waynesville; and several nieces, nephews, other relatives and a host of friends.

Visitation will be held thirty minutes prior to the service Wednesday (December 20, 2023) starting at 1:30pm at Oakgrove Cemetery.

A graveside service will be held Wednesday afternoon (December 20, 2023) at 2pm at Oakgrove Cemetery with Rev. Rusty Bryan and Rev. Randy Wainright officiating.

Arrangements are with Frye Funeral Home, Nahunta.
