Clayton Warren Cribbs

Hortense- Clayton “Warren” Cribbs, 66 of Hortense, passed away Monday (June 9, 2025) at his residence following an extended illness.

Born in St. Mary’s, GA., his parents were Elmer Cribbs and Minnie Taylor Cribbs. He was also preceded in death by three brothers, George Cribbs, Michael Cribbs, and Ben Hill; and four sisters, Patricia Rooks, Gail Cribbs, Louise Hill, and Marie Hill.

Warren worked many years as a mechanic. He enjoyed fishing, playing cards, loved his animals and spending time with his family.

Survivors include his life partner, Helen Anderson, of Hortense; and her children, Christie Anderson, Cathy Anderson, and Joseph Anderson. Also several nieces, nephews and friends.

Visitation will be held Thursday (June 12, 2025) from 10AM-11AM at the Chapel of Frye Funeral Home.

Funeral Services will be held Thursday (June 12, 2025) at 11AM at the Chapel of Frye Funeral Home with Rev. Shawn Knudson and Mr. Timmy Hill officiating.

Burial will follow in Mt. Olive Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be Ricky Hill, William Slaughter, Matthew Slaughter, Ralph Rooks, Jr., Frank Cribbs, Eugene Rooks, Terrence Rooks, and Allen Rooks, III.

Arrangements are with Frye Funeral Home, Nahunta.
