Hoboken – Clarice Morgan Bell, 90 of Hoboken passed away Thursday evening (September 9, 2021) at Bourbon Heights, Paris, KY.
She was born February 15, 1931, in Nahunta, GA to the late Colonel Ebinezer and Cannie Donie Harris Morgan. Clarice married Mitchel Leon Bell on February 21, 1945.
Clarice was a lifelong member of Mt. Calvary Baptist Church in Hoboken and a member of the Okefenokee Eastern Star of Waycross. She enjoyed gardening, canning vegetables and cooking for family, friends and community events. She loved sitting on her front porch with Mitchel and greeting all who drove by or stopped for a visit. A glass of ice tea and a rocking chair were always ready for visitors.
Along with her parents she is preceded in death by her husband, Mitchel Leon Bell; a son, Eddie Mitchel Bell; stepmother, Inez Morgan; and 5 brothers, Brooker, Edgar, Rudolph, Fenton and Royce Morgan.
Clarice is survived by 3 children and their spouses, Dewayne & Betty Bell of Fernandina Beach, Fl, Steve & Leta Bell of Jacksonville, FL and Donna & Ralph Quillin of Paris, KY; 2 brothers and sisters-in-law, Glynn & Betty Morgan and Reagan & Marilyn Morgan; a sister, Betty Jean Stewart of Blackshear, GA; 8 grandchildren, Chuck Bell (Tasha), Missy Faw (Wiley), Jennifer Bell-Bennett, Jessica Carter (Waylon), Sunny Oliver (Brandon), Vince Grupposo, Dustin Bell (Britnee), and Davie Bell; 15 great grandchildren; and also several nieces, nephews and other relatives.
Graveside Services will be held Thursday (September 16, 2021) at 12PM at Pierce Chapel Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be her grandsons, Chuck Bell, Vince Grupposo, Dustin Bell, Davie Bell, Wiley Faw and Jos Faw.
In lieu of flowers donations can be made to Pierce Chapel Community Church; 1229 High Bluff Rd. Hoboken, GA 31542.
Arrangements are with Frye Funeral Home, Nahunta.
