Charlsie Bruce Little, 92, of Albany, GA, died Saturday, November 29, 2025 at The Willson Hospice House. Funeral services will be held Tuesday, December 2, 2025 at 11:00 am at Mathews Funeral Home. Rev. David Benton and Rev. Danny Evans will officiate. A committal service will be held Wednesday, December 3, 2025 at 1:00 pm at The Little’s Cemetery in Browntown, GA with Rev. Lamar Little officiating.Charlsie was born in Hoxie, AR to Charlie Ely Bruce and Lillian Rosella Emmons Bruce. She was a member of The First Baptist Church of Putney. Before moving to Putney, she live in Hoxie, Brunswick, Auburn, Atlanta and Baton Rouge.Charlsie loved meeting people and loved to work. She started working at the Sharum Theater at age 14 and then after graduating from high school, she went to work for Warner’s Drug Store before working for The Jonathan Logan Company. She was working for Jonathan Logan when she met and married the love of her life Jim, whole her was serving in the US Air Force near her home town.After the Air Force, she moved with her husband to Brunswick, GA where she worked for Brunswick Manufacturing Company while her husband attended Brunswick Community College during the day and worked for Babcock and Wilcox Boiler Mfg. at night. Then she moved to Auburn, AL where she worked for the Ampex Company while her husband received a degree in Chemical Engineering, Charlsie retired and the two them were lucky enough to visit most of the US and 30 countries around the world. After retirement, they continued to travel as long as they were able. Between trips, she volunteered as a Pink Lady for 30 years serving at both Palmyra Hospital and Phoebe Putney Hospital.In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her daughter, Kristy Michelle Little, her brother, Joy Spencer Bruce and her sister, Barbara Bruce CabatoSurvivors include her husband of 66 years, James F. “Jim” Little.The family will receive friends Tuesday, December 2, 2025 from 10:00 am until 11:00 am at Mathews Funeral Home.
