Charles William Troup

Charles William Troup, 76 of Hortense, passed away Friday (July 25, 2025) at his residence following a brief illness.

Born in Greenville, IL., his parents were Robert H. Troup and Jennie Knapp Troup. He was also preceded in death by a brother, David Troup.

Charles served in the United States Air Force and worked many years as a truck driver. He always enjoyed going to Hollow Rock Holiness Camp in Ohio. He loved music and spending time with his family.

Survivors include his wife, Sherral Ross Troup, of Crescent City, FL; a son and daughter-in-law, Richard Troup (Rebecca), of Jesup; two grandchildren, Ricky Troup and Macy Troup, also of Jesup; his sister, Laura Downs, of Maitland, FL.; and his former wife, Sarah Driggers, of Jesup. Also several other relatives and a host of friends.

A private graveside service will be held.
