Charles Edward Hawley, Jr.

Nahunta – Charles Edward Hawley, Jr., 71, of Nahunta passed away on Monday, March 16, 2026, at the Satilla Hospice House in Waycross after an extended illness.

Born in Portsmouth, VA to the late Charles Edward and Barbara Jean Morris Hawley. He is also preceded in death by his wife Roberta Winslow and a friend Kenneth Whetsell.

Charles loved motorcycles and worked in masonry.

Survivors include two sons Charles Hawley and Christopher Hawley of South Carolina and Cheryl Furman the mother of his sons; a sister Pamela Hawley Sellers of South Carolina; close friends Mack and Karen Whetsell and Scottie and Nikki Whetsell; numerous other relatives and a host of friends.

No services are scheduled at this time.
