Hoboken – Charles Daniel Moore, Sr., 82, of Hoboken passed away early Tuesday morning (August 23, 2022) at the Hospice House in Waycross after an extended illness.
He was born on December 23, 1939 at home in Waycross, GA to the late Jessie Moore and Lillie Griffis Moore. He is also preceded in death by 2 daughters, Patricia Ann Moore and Pamela Moore; 2 sisters, Vivian Bennett and Sarah Morgan; 2 granddaughters, Sheri Thrift and Haley Griffin; and 2 stepchildren, Debbie Strickland and Danny Strickland.
Charles owned his own business in flooring and upholstery and was an avid fisherman and loved the outdoors.
Survivors include his wife of 35 years Betty Ann Taylor Moore of Hoboken; a sister, Virginia Hanchey husband Virgil of Hoboken; six daughters, Beth Holland husband Scott of Waycross, Tina Dowling of Hoboken, Rene Dreggors husband Jody of Hoboken, Ashley Moore of Hoboken, Laura Mator husband Harold of Waycross, and Manda Herring husband Steve of Waycross; a son Charles D. “Danny” Moore, Jr. of Hoboken; twenty one grandchildren; thirty three great grandchildren; and one great great grandchild; and also many nieces, nephews, other relatives and a host of friends.
A graveside service will be held Friday afternoon (August 26, 2022) at 4:00pm at Hoboken Cemetery with Mrs. Rene Dreggors and Mrs. Beth Holland officiating.
Pallbearers will be Ashton Moore, Jeffrey Dreggors, Chuck Thrift, Joey Thrift, Hawk Moore, Rodney Harris, Chase Griffin and Jody Harris.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Hospice House, 811 Beacon St. Waycross, GA 31501.
