Nahunta – Camalee Wilson, 80, of Nahunta passed away Tuesday morning (May 26, 2020) at her son’s residence after an extended illness.

Born in Nahunta, GA her parents were Lonnie Wilson and Gladys Roberts Wilson. She is also preceded in death by a son, Scott Dean; a sister, Barbara Ann Vaughn; and a brother, Cleve Wilson.

Camalee was a waitress for many years at the Gold House and of the Christian faith. She loved spending time with her grandbabies, reading, doing cross word puzzles, shopping, gardening and yard work.

Survivors include her son and daughter-in-law, Bruce & Debbie Dean of Nahunta; 4 grandchildren, Jeannie Pittman (Rodney) of Atkinson, Amy Dean Campbell (Ron) of Waynesville, Ellis Dean of Nahunta and Whitley Dean Bowers (Brandon) of Waynesville; 9 great grandchildren, Julianna Pittman, Hunter Wainright, Ramsey Pittman, Branson Bowers, Holdyn Wainright, Angelina Pittman, Jaylee Bowers, Daisy Wainright and Cory Griffin; 2 brothers and sisters-in-law, Leon & Geneva Wilson and Corbitt & Lulu Wilson all of Nahunta; and also several nieces, nephews and other relatives.

Due to the COVID-19, the family would like to ask all to please follow the rules for social distancing at the service. Also, anyone who does not feel comfortable with attending the services the Family would like for you to know they understand and covet your prayers.

A private graveside will be held Thursday morning (May 28, 2020) at 11am at Oakgrove Cemetery with Rev. Paul Rhoden officiating.

Pallbearers will be Brandon Bowers, Ron Campbell, Chris Wilson, Jeffrey Wilson, Jayden Lane and Hunter Wainright.

Arrangements are with Frye Funeral Home, Nahunta.
