Calvin Ereskin Lyons

Brunswick - Calvin Ereskin Lyons, 83, of Brunswick passed away Tuesday morning (October 23, 2018) at his residence after an extended illness.

He was a member of the Church of God of Prophecy, attending both the Brunswick and Nahunta churches. As a retired mechanic working for Jekyll Island Authority and Brunswick Port Authority, he spent many hours working in his shop. An avid hunter and fisherman, he would spend countless hours on the local rivers and in the woods.

He is preceded in death by his wife, Lola Mae Lyons, his parents, Calvin N. and Navada Lyons, and brother, Marlin Lyons. He is survived by daughters, Myra Lynn Chasteen (Lamar) of Brunswick, GA, Barbara Ann Holt (Paul) of Cleveland, TN, grandchildren Eric Chasteen (Jeanie), Mark Chasteen (Kalene), Brandon Holt (Katie), Jordan Holt (Sarah), great grandchildren Chloe, Emma, Remi, Caleb, Sam, Wyatt, Elijah, and Lily. He is survived by one sister, Jeanette Roberson Smith(Robert) and several nieces and nephews.

A funeral service will be held at 11:00 AM Saturday morning (October 27, 2018) at Frye Funeral Home, 136 Satilla Ave., Nahunta, GA with Reverend Paul Holt officiating. Interment will follow the service at Rob Lewis Cemetery. Family will receive friends from 10:00-11:00 AM at Frye Funeral Home prior to the service.
