Brown “Wain” Wainright Brooker

March 7, 1939 — November 30, 2019

Nahunta- Mr. Brown “Wain” Wainright Brooker, 80, passed away late Saturday night (Nov. 30,2019) at his home after a short illness.

Born in Nahunta, Georgia his parents were Roy “Brown” Brooker and Dorothy “Helene” Wainright Brooker.

Mr. Wain was a member at The Nahunta United Methodist Church. He was Owner and Operator of Brooker Hardware in Nahunta before his retirement. He received his Business Degree and Forestry Degree from The University of Georgia, Mr. Wain loved playing Golf with his friends, also fishing and just watching his Turkeys and deer. And you could always count on a good joke before he left you.

Survived by his loving wife of 58 years, Nancy Hendrix Brooker, of Nahunta, a son and daughter-in-law, Matt and Stacie Brooker, of Nahunta, a daughter Sheron Brooker, of Hickox, 3-Grandchildren, Whitney Sims, Ashlyn Brooker and Colt Brooker, 2-Great-Grandchildren, Brooklyn Ratteree and James Sims, 2-very special friends, Ron Morgan and Edward Chancey, also several Nieces, Nephews and other relatives and a great host of friends.

A visitation will be held Wednesday evening (Dec.4,2019) from 6 P.M. to 8 P.M. from Frye Funeral Home in Nahunta.

In lieu of flowers donations can be made to Brantley County 4-H Summer Camp Scholarships in c/o Ashlyn Brooker; P.O. Box 275 Nahunta, GA 31553.

Arrangements are with Frye Funeral Home, Nahunta.
